Etsy Haul and Review - Epically Epic Soap

Yes I have a Haul, and I am soooo excited to share it with you! All of these items are from an Etsy store called Epically Epic Soap.

I have been on the search for an affordable lip balm that would moisturize and heal my dry chapped lips. I've been trying everything from the drugstore, all of which just seemed to make my lips even more dry. Well, I am happy to say that my search is over! I found the most amazing lip balms and lip tints at Epically Epic Soap. They truly are amazing! One swipe before bed, the next morning my lips were soft and supple. They are made of natural ingredients such as pistachio butter, castor oil, vitamin E, and sweet almond and jojoba seed oils - and come in many different and unique scents/flavors. They are also Vegan "flavors" available.

Lip Tints: Guava Pie, Red Velvet, Bullfrog

You can order them individually for $3.50 ea., or in sets of 3 for $10.50, or 6 for $20.00. I chose the set of 3 Lip Tints: Red Velvet (Sheer Red Tint), Guava Pie (Sheer Pretty Pink), Bull Frog (Sheer Shimmery Peach). They all smell like their name (Bull Frog is named after a drink and the flavor is described as sweet peaches, maraschino cherry, a drop of lemon, and gin - yum!). I am very impressed with the quality and the color of these tints! They are sheer wearable and very pretty colors! I am totally using these now in replacement of lipsticks. The Red Velvet has the most pigmentation of the three I chose, leaves a nice red just bitten look to the lips, and kind of left a stain like effect which I loved. I cannot wait to try out the other tints and balms! As a matter of fact, shortly after recieving this order I did place another order! I am totally addicted.

Another item I ordered was the Many Purpose Solid Lotion. Like the lip balms, there are a variety of scents to choose from. You can also create your own custom scent, which is exactly what I did! I got a solid lotion in a custom scent called "Eli's Sunny Day".  The scents I chose to create this fragrance: Vanilla, Marshmallow and Lemon. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I am very happy with the result.....very sweet, bright and yummy...just like my little Eli's smile when we go outside to play because "mommy it's a sunny day". I just love it! Allison did an amazing job not only with the scent, but with the formulation of these solid lotions. Really moisturizing, she calls them "many purpose solid lotion", since they can be used to moisturize the cuticles, as a hand lotion, foot salve, solid perfume, massage lotion etc.... I mainly use this for my hands and cuticles and it does a great job in keeping my hands soft and moisturized.

The last item I ordered is the Hydrating Hair and Body Mist in the scent "I Love Lychee".

This is another amazing product.  Smells just like the Lychee fruit! I mainly use this as a body moisturizer.  After I shower, I spritz this all over and rub it in like a lotion...the result, soft yummy skin :)  I am impressed that this contains Argan Oil! This is really nice as it does not leave you feeling greasy but actually absorbs into the skin. I plan on getting this in a custom scent :) I don't use this on my hair since my hair is very fine..but I'm sure that this would do great for those with thicker hair.

Overall I am VERY happy with all of the items I purchased from Epically Epic Soap.  I am also very happy with the seller...the transaction went smoothly, items arrived quicker than I expected, packaged very nice, and Allison is so friendly! I love the fact that these items are made with natural ingredients, and that they are "home made" with the utmost quality by Allison. I am a customer for life! All of these items are now staples that I will repurchase over and over again!

2010 Favorites - Beauty

Here's a list of my all time favorite beauty products of 2010. Some of these are long time favorites, some are new discoveries for me. Basically these are the items that I reached for time and time again in 2010.

1.  DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
This is my number one can't live without item. It is the BEST make up remover, the only thing that takes EVERYTHING off and leaves my skin feeling super clean, and super soft at the same time. I have raved about this in a previous post....it's just simply the best.

2.  Bare Escentuals Brightening Pearl Mineral Veil
I am in love with this Honora Pearl infused version of the Mineral Veil.  The regular MV is great, but this is BETTER.  This sets my BE Foundation to a even more flawless finish than the regular MV, it's hard to describe, you just need to try it for yourself.   This was exclusive to a kit on QVC, but it is now available on it's own in a pretty pink compact w/ mirror.....yay!

3.  MAC Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 25
Love love love this concealer.  I decided to switch to this concealer during the summer of 2010. I have been going to the beach and getting darker, so my Summer Bisque was starting to look too light under my eyes I absolutely love Summer Bisque, but did not like the white look under my eyes. I needed something darker, and I remembered that I had this MAC concealer in NW25 sitting around unused. So I started using it and have not stopped since. I love the fact that it has SPF 25, and is so easy to use, I just use my fingers. It blends effortlessly and covers really well! I also love the container, it has a flip top which makes it easy for traveling, I don't have to worry about loose mineral while doing my makeup in the car or screwing and unscrewing the lid. It's perfect for mommies and busy women on the go!

4.  MAC Fluidline Gel Liner in Black Track and Waveline
Glides on effortlessly, stays put all day, great pigmentation. Need I say more?
Actually yes, Waveline is an AMAZING dark blue shade! This is my new go to liner shade, when I want something not as bold as black but has a little more oomph than brown. I just love it. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to makeup colors, I like to stick with safe neutral shades.....so when I wear this I feel like i'm walking a little on the wild side, although it's not a crazy bright blue, it's just perfect.

5.  BUXOM Lip Gloss
Aaah, my all time favorite lipgloss!!! These lip glosses are just soooooooooooo good! Tingly, pretty, sheer colors. Not sticky......and just fun. Love them. My current fave is a limited edition holiday shade called RENEE, named after one of my BE Buddies ;)

6.  Bare Escentuals Brightening Eye Primer
This came out in the ReThink QVC Kit, but I think it's available on it's own now.  This is such a beautiful primer. It has a glimmering effect...not sure if that's the correct way to describe it....it's like a champagne shimmer, and can be used on it's own or as a primer before eyeshadow. I love using this product with a darker contour color in the crease, which brings me to my number 7 beauty fave.....

7.  Bare Escentuals Eye Shadow in Lucky
Lucky is my fave contour shade, it's a Taupe with what I think is purple/mauve undertones...I feel like Lucky is the Eyeshadow version of the Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic nail polish. Anyway, this is the perfect contour shade for everyday.
As far as I know, Lucky can only be found in the Re-Think Volume 1 Kit on QVC.

8.  Bare Escentuals Mineral Blush in Optimist
I wore this blush non-stop since I got it. It came in the same "Re-Think" Kit  that Lucky Eye Shadow (#7) came in on QVC. It's a pretty neutral rosy shade.  Again, perfect for everyday....makes me look and feel alive and happy.

9.  Neutrogena Makeup Removing Towlettes
This is for my lazy days when I am sooo tired I just want to wipe everything off my face and jump into bed. I've had alot of those days! It literally gets everything off my face, and my skin feels moisturized. My hubby likes these as well. Really good for travelling and bringing on the plane.

10. Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Moisturizer
Aaah, the moisturizer that actually moisturizes my skin without making my skin feel like an oil slick. Just love this to death. It's my new best friend. I have combo skin, acne prone..and this works just great.

12.  Johnson and Johnson Vanilla Oatmeal Baby Wash and Lotion
I love this scent! It's soo comforting and reminds me of when my son was a baby.  The baby wash is gentle, I use this in the shower with a cleansing puff......and the lotion leaves my skin nice and soft, with a hint of the vanilla oatmeal fragrance. Love this so much, great for babies and mommies and daddies!

13.  Pro Activ Solution 3 Step System
This is the only Skin Care line that really does get rid of those pesky zits that like to visit me from time to time. I find that if I get lazy and stop using this, my skin goes crazy. This stuff really does work and is gentle on my skin. I could not live without this.

14.  Becca Cosmetics Fiesta Bronzing Dust in Tango
Really great bronzer, this saved me during the summer, evened out my complexion so that it matched the rest of my body. Pretty and natural....no orangy Jerseylicious side effects.

15.  Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Foundation
Last but certainly not least, my Bare Minerals Foundation in Golden Medium. This is my all time FAVORITE foundation, and has been a faithful part of my makeup bag for quite awhile now.  This is just the BEST foundation out there...I think so. Feels like nothing on my skin, does not clog or break me out, blends evenly and just looks so beautiful and natural. Love love love it!

Bare Escentuals - Rare Minerals, & bareMinerals Skin Care

I currently use the Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Purely Nourishing Moisturizer (LOVE!) and the Purifying Facial Cleanser (ADORE!)....these products are amazingly good. 

Nor sure if the RM Moisturizer is the same as the one in the kit, but just want to say that this Moisturizer ROCKS!  (Sorry no picture of the RM Moisturizer). The RM moisturizer is the first that I have tried that actually hydrates my acne prone skin w/out clogging or breaking it out. It is not greasy or heavy, and sinks into my skin immediately. I love love love it. I'm eager to try QVC's "Try Me" kit to see if the bareMinerals version is just as good, if not the same.

As for the Purifying Facial Cleanser, this stuff gets your face clean without stripping your face dry. It's gentle yet effective. A winner in my book. This cleanser can also be purchased seperately, full size on qvc.com.

I have not tried any of the eye creams yet...so no review on that just yet. I am planning on getting this kit and will follow up with a review :)

Leslie Blodgett will be on the Q (qvc) this weekend, one of her shows will showcase the skin care line only. It will be an exciting weekend for all of us BE/LB fans as we anticipate new goodies to drain our credit cards, lol.  Will you be watching?
